October Community Deathcare Meeting

Many of us labor under the illusion that grief is experienced and expressed only through the emotion of sadness. But grief can show up in many forms and people are often surprised to experience grief manifesting as anger, confusion, shame or any number of disparate emotions, including, sometimes, joy. Come talk about the ways grief has shown up in your life, or in the lives of the people you live with, work with, and love.

Wake’s monthly Community Deathcare Meeting is open to anyone working in end-of-life care in the New Orleans area, as a volunteer or professionally, and to anyone interested in doing that work. It’s an opportunity to meet each other, to share resources, and to explore how we can support each other in meeting the needs of our community.
