Wake has set a goal of $5,000 this GiveNOLA Day to support our Death Concierge program, which targets a gap in end-of-life care and services for the population at large that particularly  impacts low-income members of our community.

 

This GiveNOLA Day we are raising money to establish a collective of Deathcare Providers who can be reimbursed for providing consistent nonmedical support to individuals and their families throughout the dying process.  Wake Deathcare Providers are advocates and allies who help our clients get their affairs in order, connect them with resources in the community, and provide emotional, logistical, and practical support around issues like healthcare access, crowd-funding for final expenses, dignified burial or cremation, and memorialization. 

 

Any amount you give supports the formation of a collective of trained death doulas, planners, and social workers who will work together to bring this important care to the community.
