In the first few days after a loved one dies, we can't take time to mourn, we can't even take time to rest. There is so much to do, and so many decisions to make, and all of those tasks can be further complicated by regulatory hurdles that are beyond our control. Learn which governing bodies make decisions about the deceased, and what you need to know to effectively navigate this tricky time.

Wake’s monthly Community Deathcare Meeting is open to anyone working in end-of-life care in the New Orleans area, as a volunteer or professionally, and to anyone interested in doing that work. It’s an opportunity to meet each other, to share resources, and to explore how we can support each other in meeting the needs of our community.
